About Myself
Welcome to my creative space! I am passionate about travels, plastic arts, music, literature, spirituality, video games, and movies.
Bass player in my twenties, I hung up my instrument for a more sedentary life in my thirties. In my fifties, I embraced my passion for plastic arts (oil and acrylic paintings, graphite, and digital painting) and left my corporate job.
Are you ready to hear the inspiring tale of a woman who decided to trade in her 8 to 5 routine to embark on a journey of self-discovery and artistic fulfillment? Let me introduce myself, Moriah, a 50 something individual who found the courage to pursue her true passion for art and unleash her creative power on the world.
Many of us can relate to the daunting feeling of being stuck in a job that doesn't align with our passions. As a seasoned professional in the corporate world, I was no stranger to this internal struggle. Day in and day out, I was confined to my desk, yearning for a creative outlet that would set my soul on fire. Despite the comfort of a stable paycheck, I knew deep down that my true calling lay elsewhere.
The pivotal moment came when I attended an art school online, as a hobby. As I was progressing through the lessons, my heart swelled with emotions I hadn't felt in years. Each stroke of the brush, every splash of color on the canvas, spoke to me on a profound level. It was in that moment that I realized I couldn't ignore my passion any longer.
The decision to leave behind the security of my 8 to 5 job was not made lightly and I had fears about the uncertainty of pursuing art as a full-time career at my age. But my determination was unwavering. I knew that this was my chance to finally embrace my authentic self and live a life filled with creativity and purpose.
Leaping into the unknown, I set up my digital art studio, not equipped with canvases and paints, but a computer, a pen tablet and an unshakable resolve. The transition from the structured corporate world to the free-flowing realm of art was nothing short of a rebirth. Every stroke of the digital brush was a declaration of my newfound freedom, a testament to my unwavering belief in myself.
As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, my art began to evolve. My pieces are windows into my soul. The emotions I had bottled up for years found their release on the digital canvas. I am still on the journey to find my own style, but hey, as they say, life is the journey, not the destination (or something like that).
Despite the initial challenges, my decision to pursue art full-time proved to be a transformative experience. The joy of waking up every morning to a blank canvas waiting to be filled with color and emotion was a stark contrast to the monotony of my previous existence. The hurdles I face along the way only strengthen my determination to succeed and grow as an artist.
Today, I stand tall as I dared to follow my dreams. My story is a reminder that it's never too late to pursue your passion, no matter your age or circumstances. By tapping into my creative power and embracing the unknown, I unleashed a side of myself that had long been dormant, proving that true fulfillment comes from living an authentic life.
So, if you find yourself yearning for something more, take a page out of my book. Embrace your passions, pursue your dreams, and fearlessly carve out a path that resonates with your soul. Let my story be a testament to the transformative power of following your heart and unleashing the creative force that lies within each of us.
