Somewhere in the Wudangshan
Somewhere in the Wudangshan, a legend is waiting to unfold. This is the legend to come:
One day, while Master Zhang Sanfeng will be reciting the writings of the great masters, a bird will land in his courtyard. Zhang Sanfeng will watch from his window the bird scrutinizing a snake coiled on the ground, looking at the bird. A fight will ensue between them. The bird will attack by spreading its wings. The snake will shake its head and undulate to escape the bird, which will return to the top of a tree.
The bird will attack again, but the snake will twist and spiral away again. The fight will continue without victory for either side… When Zhang Sanfeng will go out into the courtyard, both the snake and the bird will have disappeared.
From observing this fight, Zhang Sanfeng will come up with the idea for Tai Chi Chuan: it involves combining the agility of the snake with the speed of the bird.
For now, the 3 protagonists of this story go their own way. Will you be able to find them all ?

Luna in Heaven
End of mentoring digital painting. As part of my mentorship with Qénus, I was asked to redo my 2024 digital painting of my cat Luna. This came right when I needed it, as Luna had decided to travel to another plan of existence last September. I could imagine her in her favourite habitat, nature, and send her my love over the veil.
Studies of rocks texture and shapes, the composition and light/shadow dynamics ensued.

Vitarka Mudra
Human beings have countless ways to express themselves, sometimes even unbeknownst to them.
This statue is called Vitarka Mudra, the term comes from the Sanskrit, vitarka, meaning “reasoning,” “consideration” or “deliberation”; and mudra, meaning “closure,” “mark” or “seal.” Vitarka mudra is also known as the “gesture of debate” or the “discussion mudra.”
Even in silence, even in the absence of explanation, one can learn. Staying still in the silence allows the answers you need - if not the answers you seek - to come to you and help you grow.
Have you had to learn by yourself at one point in your life ? To figure out without any - apparent - external help what to do ? Did you also had to look deeply into yourself under the agitation of what life threw at you to find the calm and stillness where resided the answers you sought ?
